Our Commitment
Fulfilling the sacred trust of Zakat to uplift and empower eligible individuals and families in our community.
Dedicated & Confidential Service
MCGP Zakat Services is dedicated to the responsible collection and distribution of Zakat funds strictly according to Sharia guidelines. We strive to provide timely financial assistance and essential support to qualified recipients, aiming to alleviate hardship, foster dignity, and strengthen community bonds. Compassion, transparency, and absolute confidentiality are central to our process.
Who Can Receive Zakat?
Zakat is intended for specific categories defined in the Quran (Surah At-Tawbah 9:60). We provide assistance based on these criteria following a respectful and confidential review. Common situations include:
The Poor & Needy (Fuqara & Masakin)
Individuals or families lacking basic necessities like food, shelter, clothing, or unable to meet essential living costs.
Those in Debt (Gharimin)
Assistance for individuals burdened by significant debt incurred for essential needs (not for extravagance).
Medical Hardship
Support for critical medical treatments, healthcare expenses, or disability needs not covered by other means.
Stranded Travelers (Ibn al-Sabil)
Assistance for travelers (wayfarers) cut off from resources needed to continue their essential journey or return home.
Reconciliation & New Muslims (Muallafatul Quloob)
Support for new Muslims facing initial hardship, or situations aimed at fostering harmony and attracting hearts to Islam.
Other Sharia Categories
Zakat may also apply to freeing captives (Riqab), those working in Zakat administration (Amilina Alayha), or those striving in the cause of Allah (Fi Sabilillah), as assessed by the committee.
*Eligibility is determined case-by-case through a confidential review process based on Islamic guidelines and available resources.*
